Southern Tier: Warning Lifted: Still a Bumpy Night

Affected Jurisdictions:  Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie Counties

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN ERIE...WESTERN CATTARAUGUS AND CHAUTAUQUA COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 645 PM EDT... AT 644 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED THAT THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THAT PROMPTED THE WARNING HAVE STAYED OVER LAKE ERIE. THUS THE WARNING HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO EXPIRE. HOWEVER...RADAR INDICATED THAT HEAVY RAIN...SMALL HAIL...AND GUSTY WINDS ARE POSSIBLE FROM THUNDERSTORMS THAT WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK EAST ACROSS THE AREA. STILL EXPECT THE STRONGEST STORMS TO REMAIN OVER LAKE ERIE.
