SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BUFFALO NY 313 AM EDT WED MAR 31 2010 NIAGARA-NORTHERN ERIE-SOUTHERN ERIE- INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...NIAGARA FALLS...BUFFALO... ORCHARD PARK...SPRINGVILLE 313 AM EDT WED MAR 31 2010 ...AREAS OF DENSE FOG AND IC...Y SPOTS ON AREA ROADS TO IMPACT THE AREA EARLY THIS MORNING... AREAS OF DENSE FOG WILL LOWER VISIBILITY TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS EARLY THIS MORNING. EXPECT THE MOST EXTENSIVE FOG TO IMPACT AREAS FROM DOWNTOWN BUFFALO EASTWARD THROUGH THE NORTHERN SUBURBS INTO FAR SOUTHERN NIAGARA COUNTY. THE FOG MAY HANG IN THROUGH THE MORNING RUSH HOUR. THE COMBINATION OF FOG AND BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES WILL ALSO RESULT IN ICY SPOTS ON AREA ROADS. BE ESPECIALLY ALERT FOR ICE ON ELEVATED HIGHWAYS AND OVERPASSES DURING THE EARLY MORNING COMMUTE.
